For embroidery shops on Etsy
Keep your Etsy shop and the shoppers it brings. When a buyer messages “can you do this with a name on it?”, answer with a Broidry link instead of a list of questions.
A Broidry order form asks for the size, the color, the spelling, the placement, and the thread before the customer can finish. In Etsy Messages you ask for each one, and the answers arrive across a week of replies.
Broidry shows the customer a mockup of their exact piece and records the approval on the order. In a message thread the approval is a 'looks good!' you have to scroll back to find.
A Broidry quote is accepted and paid on one page, and the order moves to your stitching list on its own. Etsy Messages has no payment in it; the money happens in a listing you build afterward.
Every remake starts with a detail that was never confirmed.
An approval you can point to, and money that starts the clock.
The conversation should turn into a schedule.
Etsy Messages is free to use, and a custom order that closes on Etsy pays Etsy's normal fees: $0.20 to list, 6.5% of the sale, and payment processing of about 3% + $0.25. Broidry is free to start, with up to 15 orders a month and a 2% fee on payments that go through Broidry. The Maker plan ($19 a month) makes orders unlimited and drops the fee to 1.5%, and the Shop ($39) and Atelier ($79) plans add more on top. Standard card processing (2.9% + 30¢) applies to card payments the same way anywhere. The full math is on the Broidry vs Etsy page.
Etsy Messages details from Etsy's help center as of September 2026.
The customer fills in every detail, approves the mockup, and pays, and the order shows up on your stitching list with nothing missing. Your Etsy shop stays exactly where it is.
The Free plan costs nothing until your first sale, and signing up does not ask for a credit card. The Free plan covers 15 orders a month, and any month a customer pays you by card through Broidry has no limit at all.
