Refer other shops and earn a share

Embroiderers find their tools from other embroiderers, so Broidry pays for referrals openly.

The affiliate program is something you apply for, from Share Broidry near the bottom of your sidebar (on a phone it is under More). It is not an automatic link handed to everyone; applications are reviewed before a link is issued.

The link and the post, any time

The Share Broidry page opens with a card called "Tell other embroiderers". It has a link with a Copy link button, and a post written for a Facebook group or Instagram that you can change however you like and then copy with Copy post. Broidry never posts or sends anything for you.

The same card shows up once on your Today page after your first paid order comes through. Press Close and it does not come back there; it stays on the Share Broidry page whenever you want it.

Before you are approved, the link is plain broidry.com. Once you are approved, it becomes your own referral link, and wherever your shop shows the "Powered by Broidry" line at the bottom of your shop page or the "Sent with Broidry" line under a mockup, that Broidry link points to it too. So an embroiderer who finds Broidry through one of your customers counts as your referral.

How it works

1. 1Apply from the Share Broidry page in your dashboard. Someone at Broidry reviews it.
2. 2Once you are approved you get your own link to share. Anyone who opens it is tracked as your referral for thirty days, so they do not have to sign up the same day they click.
3. 3If they open a shop inside that window, they become your referral. You can see your referrals and your earnings on the same page.

What each side gets

The shop you referred gets an easier start. For their first ninety days, the free plan lets them take 30 orders a month instead of 15, and the fee on card payments is capped at 1 percent instead of 2. They do not have to claim anything.

You earn 25 percent of what that shop pays Broidry in subscription fees, for their first twelve paid months. It is counted from real paid invoices, not sign-ups, and it is adjusted if a payment is later refunded, so the number you see is a number you will actually be paid.

Earnings are paid out once you have at least 25 dollars owed to you. The full terms are on the affiliate terms page, and they are worth reading once before you apply.
