Your shop page

A real store for your buyers: sign-in, wishlist, filters, and quick view

4 minute read

On the Atelier plan, your shop page can work the way a big store does. Customers can sign in, keep a wishlist, filter your products, and more. Each extra has a switch on your Website page. They all start turned on.

Buyers don't see these extras on the Free, Maker or Shop plans. A shop on one of those plans keeps the same page it has today. The switches show up when the shop moves to Atelier.

What each extra does for a customer

Sign in on your site: a Sign in link in your header opens your shop's own account pages. They look like your shop, not like Broidry. A customer creates an account with an email and a password, sees every order they placed with you, presses Reorder to open that product's order form again, and saves an address. The saved address, their name and their email are already typed into the order form the next time they order from you. Customers can use the same email and password at any shop that uses Broidry. On your site, they only see their orders from you.

Wishlist: a heart on every product tile and product page. When a customer presses the heart, the product is saved to their wishlist. The heart in your header shows how many things are on the wishlist. The wishlist page shows the saved products with their price. Customers who haven't signed in can still keep a wishlist. It's saved on their own computer or phone. When they sign in, it moves to their account.

Filters: a bar above your products with Collection, Sort by (featured, newest, price low to high, price high to low), a price range, an In stock box, and buttons for color and size. The choices come from your products, so if every product comes in one color there is no color filter. A filtered page has its own web address, so a customer can send a friend the link to just your navy sweatshirts.

Quick view: a Quick view button on every tile opens the product over the grid, with its photo, price, colors, sizes, short description and order button.

Recently viewed: a row called You looked at, on your shop page and under every product, with the last eight products the customer looked at. The list is saved only in the customer's browser.

You might also like: four more of your products under each product, the ones in the same collection first, then ones sharing a tag, then your newest.

Swatches on tiles: the garment color dots and the size list under each product's name on the tile, so a customer sees what it comes in before opening it.

Sticky order button on phones: when the order button scrolls off the top of a phone screen, a bar with the price and the same button pins to the bottom until the customer scrolls back up.

A menu with pictures: on the Website page, you can add a picture to each item in a drop-down menu. Then Collections opens a row of photos instead of a plain list.

Where the switches are

Open your Website page from the dashboard. Under Buyer extras are eight switches: Sign in on your site, Wishlist, Filters, Quick view, Recently viewed, You might also like, Swatches on tiles, and Sticky order button on phones. Turn one off and it disappears from your shop. Customers keep what they saved. Turn it back on and their wishlists come back.

On the Storefront page, the Your shop tab has a line under Look and layout. It shows how many extras are on. Click it to open the Website page.

Note: A customer's account and wishlist belong to them and use their own email. You can see their orders on your board as you always have. You can't see their wishlist or their saved addresses.
