Orders and customers
Business pages: an order page for each business you work with
3 minute read
Some of your best customers are businesses that come back again and again: a salon that orders aprons, a dental office that orders staff shirts, a company that needs a jacket every time someone new starts. A business page gives each of them their own order page. Their people open the link any time, see only the products you make for that business, pay the price you set for that business, and place the order without messaging you first.
A business page has no close date. It stays open until you close it. It never shows on your shop page and it is never emailed to your list, so only people you send the link to can find it.
Business pages are part of the Shop plan ($39 a month) and every plan above it. Founding shops get them during their free founding window.
Make one
- 1Open Drops in your dashboard and click + New business page, next to the Business pages heading.
- 2Type the business's name in Business name, and a short note for their people if you want one. There is no close date to pick.
- 3Click Create business page. The new page shows under Business pages.
- 4Under Add a product, pick each product you make for this business and type its price in Price each. Repeat for every product.
- 5Click Open this page for orders. Card payments need to be set up first, because every order on the page is paid by card when it is placed.
- 6Click Copy link next to Link to send this business, and send that link to your contact at the business.
Give the business its own price
Click Business price on the page's card. Pick Percent off or Dollars off, type the amount, and click Save and re-price every product. Every product on the page is re-priced from its regular shop price in one step, and the people ordering see your regular price struck through beside theirs.
You can also type a different price for one product in Price each when you add it. Only people who open the business page's link see these prices. Your shop page keeps your regular prices.
Closing it and opening it again
Click Close this page when you want the business to stop ordering for a while. Anyone who opens the link then sees that the page isn't taking orders right now. Click Open this page for orders to open it again, with the same link and the same products.
Orders placed on a business page land on your order board like any other paid order, and Production sheet for this page lists everything ordered from it.
