Show your shop on your own website: Square Online, Shopify, Squarespace, WordPress, Wix

3 minute read

If you already have a website, you can show your Broidry shop on one of its pages. Open the Storefront page, scroll to Web address, click "Show your shop on your own website", and turn the switch on. Copy your website code. Then open your website's editor, add an Embed or HTML block, and paste the code into it. Each site builder calls that block something different. Your shop shows up on that page and stays up to date on its own. When a customer pays, the payment page opens in its own browser tab. While "My shop isn't ready for customers yet" is turned on, your website shows "page not found" where your shop should be. To let customers see your shop, go back to Show your shop on your own website and press Open my shop. Pressing it also turns off the "My shop isn't ready for customers yet" switch.

Square Online

The block is called Embed code. Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Channels, then Square Online. Select Website, then Edit site. Open the page you want your shop on. Select +Add, then Section, and pick the Embed code section. In the editing panel, select Embed code and paste the code into the text box. Publish your site. Square only offers the Embed code section on its Square Online Plus and Premium plans. On Square's free plan, add a Button to the page instead and link it to your Broidry shop address. You'll find that address under Web address on the Storefront page.
